Join the Stanford Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble for Buscando América (looking for America), a special evening of music which delves deeper into the connections between the music of Latin and North America. The concert features repertoire and musical arrangements which serve to illustrate the rich relationships between the two idioms -- far beyond the basic mixing of the rhythms of Latin America with the harmonies of Jazz. The result is an exciting blend of sounds that is guaranteed to perk up your ears and maybe get you moving out of your seat! We explore Cuban Carnival, Cuban Songo, Motown, Bebop, Blues, Funk, Vocal jazz ballads and more! Don't miss it!

PLEASE NOTE: Non-students are advised to purchase tickets online through the Stanford Ticket Office Website in order to attend. Students with SUID are admitted one hour prior to the show
